If you’re having one of those weeks where you’re so bored with your hair but have no idea what to do with it, look no further. Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily of Pretty Little Liars always have amazing hairstyles that don’t require much more time or effort than your normal routine.

Aria:  To get Aria’s one-sided style start with a one-inch curling iron.  Take medium sized sections of hair and curl in alternating directions (facing away from your face/facing towards your face).  Once your hair is curled, gather up the side where you don’t have bangs and pull it behind your shoulder. Then starting at your ear, French braid flat against your head until you reach about the middle of the nape of your neck.  Secure the braid with a bobby pin and use an additional bobby pin over that one to create an “x” for a secure hold.  Pull some of your curls over the bobby pins to hide them and finish off with a light misting of hair spray.

Spencer:  In this photo Spencer wears a unique twist on the traditional French braid.  To get her look, start by creating a deep side part.  Then gather all of your hair to the deeper side of your part and begin Dutch braiding near the crown of your head.  A Dutch braid is just like a French braid, except instead of crossing strands over each other, you cross them under.  Make sure to keep your Dutch braid in a straight line as you continue to incorporate hair from the other side.  Once you can no longer Dutch braid finish the braid normally and secure with a thin elastic that matches your hair color.

Hanna: I love Hanna’s bohemian hairstyle in this picture, and it’s actually not too difficult to recreate.  Start by giving your hair texture with a sea salt spray (I recommend Not Your Mother’s).  Then take a small section about two inches back from your bangs or the front of your hair and begin twisting.  Once your twist reaches your ear secure it with a bobby pin.  Then take a slightly larger section from underneath your hair and fishtail braid it, securing it with an elastic.  If you would like to play up the messy beachy vibe of this hairstyle, add more sea salt spray and loosen up the fishtail braid.

Emily: Emily’s half-up volumized style really highlights her ombre color. To achieve the same look, start with wavy or straight strands (this is even a great style for your natural hair texture).  Then part your hair down the middle and pull it half up, leaving your bangs out.  Use a teasing comb to create volume and secure with bobby pins to complete the look!
