This past weekend, I went to London as a vacation away from vacation – perfect timing with the first appearances of Christmas lights, markets and general holiday season festivities. Of course, always being on the lookout for style, one of the first things I noticed was the winter fashion of London women as compared to that of their French counterparts – a significant difference that continually presented itself everywhere. While Parisian women all have a very similar look – in terms of dark colors, styles of coats and bags, and popular brands worn by a large majority – the theme of London style can only be termed as individual and eclectic, with colors and combinations of items one would never see on the streets of Paris. One item in particular stood out, as carried by a few daring women on the underground – a fur handbag. A fur scarf is bold, a fur jacket is supremely bold, and a fur handbag is something I had just never seen in real life before visiting London. Try one as a key piece of an original and distinctive look – a fur satchel pairs well with jeans and boots for a casual look, while a fur clutch is something extremely daring for an evening event.
