Patterned sunglasses have recently been sighted everywhere, from South Beach to Tinseltown, on the likes of Northwestern students and celebrities alike. Even Ryan Gosling’s newest flame, Eva Mendes, was spotted in a floral turquoise pair – clearly if we wear patterned shades too, Gosling will fall for us as well.

Well okay, maybe not, but I’m still planning on purchasing a few pairs. The decorative options are endless, but my favorite trends for this upcoming summer include floral, ombre, and tie-dye. Match pastel-hued blooming shades with an adorable sundress for a sweet picnic date, or try ombré shades for Lollapallooza. Day at the beach or working at that day camp again? Tie-dye’s the way to your inner child. No matter what your summer plans, show off your personality with patterned shades.
