Get to know Dillo’s wonderfully weird daytime headliner through her equally wacky fashion taste.

“Does anyone else not know who this is?” This was a comment left on Dillo Day’s recent Instagram post, which announced musician Remi Wolf as this year’s daytime headliner. It’s a fair question. While the singer has been gaining popularity since the release of her TikTok hit “Photo ID”  in 2020 and her debut album “Juno” last October, Wolf is, according to fans and music journalists alike, indefinable.

Between her psychedelic visuals and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, there’s a lot to take in. One avenue to get to know the star is through her flamboyant taste in fashion — a perfect representation of her eclectic and electric musical sound. Take a look below at some of Wolf’s outfits to familiarize yourself with the performer before Dillo!

On The Tonight Show, Wolf sported primary-colored prints and her signature oversized fuzzy hat to perform a medley of hits “Hello Hello Hello” and “Photo ID.” image courtesy of Youtube.

In her 2021 music video for “Liquor Store,” Wolf dons cotton candy hues and heart shapes in a unitard with a matching manicure. Image courtesy of Twitter.

At the FireFly Music Festival in Delaware, Wolf took to the stage clad in a sweater vest and trucker hat. Image courtesy of Instagram.

To the private Gucci party at the 2021 edition of Art Basel Miami, Wolf wore the high fashion brand paired with — of course — cat ears. Image courtesy of Nylon.

For Pitchfork Festival in London, Wolf stuck to her maximalist style by wearing a canary yellow blouse beneath a metallic-speckled frock beneath a fur-lined, cherry red overcoat — topping it all off with grandpa glasses. Image courtesy of Instagram.

At Webster Hall in New York City, Wolf put her spin on the academia aesthetic with a “Big Boy” sweater vest and a plethora of pinstripes and plaids. Image courtesy of Instagram.

On a day-off, Wolf still channels her vibrant aesthetic with this technicolor pullover and tri-tone fingerless gloves. Image courtesy of Instagram.

In promotional photos for her Gwingle Gwongle Tour this fall, one of Wolf’s outfits featured a frayed fuchsia bustier, a sheer skirt and ‘80s style glam. Image courtesy of Instagram.

When her outfit isn’t the attention-grabber, it’s her hair. For the “Pool” music video with Still Woozy, Wolf wore floor-length braids for a whimsical look. Image courtesy of Instagram.

Looking briefly at Wolf’s style, it’s easy to be intrigued and overwhelmed by the hypnotic patterns, bright colors and fuzzy textures, but this signature look is something she has been carefully curating for the past year. “I think that I’m able to channel all of my neuroses and all of my aesthetic dreams, and I’m able to channel this awesome version of myself into my visuals,” she told The Forty-Five in November 2021. In the same interview, Wolf also credits the talents of creative director Haley Appell for envisioning the intersection between her unique sound and fashion taste, one the LA-based musician has been building since her audition on “American Idol” in 2014 to her most recent act opening for the North American leg of Lorde’s Solar Power Tour.

While undefinable, Wolf’s style—both musically and visually—are undoubtedly recognizable. By now, you hopefully have a better sense of who Remi Wolf is, and you take the chance to see her live at Dillo Day this year!
