Movers and Shakers: Rachel, Co-Editor in Chief of STITCH

Meet Rachel, Northwestern senior and co-editor in chief of STITCH.

What’s your personal style?

Though my personal style is constantly evolving, it has always been super feminine. I love anything pink, lace & embellished. After coming to NU and going abroad to Copenhagen—where everyone wears a lot of black, white and grey—my style became more minimalistic. Nowadays, I often find myself mixing girly tops and accessories with edgier pieces like black ripped jeans or leather jackets.

Why’d you join STITCH?

My dream job from a young age was to work for a fashion magazine, so STITCH obviously seemed like the perfect fit. I’ve really enjoyed pursuing my passions in a group as obsessed with fashion as I am, and it has been so rewarding to be apart of STITCH’s growth over the past few years.

How else do you contribute to the NU community?

I’ve been a very involved member of my sorority and served on the exec board.

What’s your favorite beauty product right now?

This is such a tough question because I have a million favorite beauty product obsessions, many of which are skincare products. With that said, my two favorite everyday products are Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in Chimere (most days I just wear this with a few swipes of mascara) and YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum.
