I’ll admit it: I probably wear my jean jacket too much. But what can I say, it’s a staple in my wardrobe that seems to go with everything and requires minimal effort. I’m especially obsessed with this clean-cut, mid-wash jacket by J.Brand – in my opinion, a jean jacket should be a no-fuss, classic looking deal, and I expect nothing less from the gods of denim. Since we’re ditching the Death Valley-like temperatures for the time being, the jacket will be necessary to throw on over this ethereal printed floral dress. Elizabeth and James can really do no wrong and I’m dying over their entire spring collection; it takes a certain amount of skill to balance bohemian with minimalist and I have to say all of their pieces do it effortlessly.
Mondays require a little bit of zing in the form of an extra shot at Norbucks as well as a dose of femininity. If there is ever a time to feel more like a girl its your triumph at finishing your last 9 a.m. Monday morning discussion and frolicking on Deering to celebrate. That’s why I’m promoting hot pink nail polish, a heart and key necklace, and heart-shaped sunglasses. I do realize that the glasses verge on overly precious, but I have faith that the stylish Northwestern student body can wear them with just the right amount of sartorial flair. Plus, they practically breed a good mood, which is all that really matters. With extra high neutral lace-up platforms giving you a subtle kick, who needs caffeine?
